Nuestro PAC Dropping Millions in Bilingual Mail Targeting Latinos in Battleground States
September 14, 2020 Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org WASHINGTON -- Nuestro PAC will send seven-figures worth of bilingual mail to every persuadable and newly registered Latino voter in Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. The mail program will run for five weeks in the lead-up to the election on November 3rd as part of ongoing work by the PAC to turn out Latinos for Joe Biden.
“The team at Nuestro PAC is making sure Latino voters get multiple rounds of communication, like we did on the Bernie 2020 campaign. This is critical to turning out the vote for Joe Biden and defeating Donald Trump in November,” said Chuck Rocha, founder of Nuestro PAC. “Through ongoing outreach, Latino voters in these battleground states will get all of the information they need in English and Spanish to vote for Biden.”
One of the seven mail pieces features Kristin Urquiza, who spoke at the DNC about Donald Trump’s failed leadership in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic that took her father’s life. The mail piece quotes her, saying “My dad’s only pre-existing condition was trusting Donald Trump...and he paid with his life.”
Last month, Nuestro PAC released an ad featuring Urquiza speaking about her father’s death and endorsing Joe Biden. In partnership with America’s Progressive Promise PAC, they have also launched one of the largest Spanish-language ad campaigns of the cycle in Arizona, Michigan and North Carolina.
Nuestro and America’s Progressive Promise PACs were created by senior aides to Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential runs which saw overwhelming support from the Latino community. Latinos are expected to be the largest minority voting bloc in November; however, former Vice President Biden is currently underperforming with this demographic.
